Korean BBQ Beef on Rice

Ingredients
1 cup rice
250g rump steak
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbs brown sugar (or honey)
1 tbs sesame oil
2 tsp crushed garlic
2 tbs gochujang (or chilli flakes)
1 small onion
1 broccoli
½ cup edamame
1 tsp cornflour
Spring onions (sliced, for garnish)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions
Rice: Cook 1 cup of rice
Beef: Thinly slice 250g steak and add to a bowl. Marinade with ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 tbs brown sugar, 1 tbs sesame oil, 2 tsp crushed garlic, 2 tbs gochugang (or chilli flakes) and mix well. Grate 1 small onion and add to the beef.
Vegetables: Cut the broccoli into small florets and add to a pot. Add ½ cup edamame to the pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Set aside.
Cook beef: Bring a large pan to high heat. Add beef (without adding the marinade) and sear for 2-3 minutes. In a small pot, add the leftover marinade and 1 tsp cornflour. Bring to a boil and stir continuously for 2 minutes until thick.
Serve: Plate up the cooked rice and top with the vegetables and beef. Finish with sliced spring onions and sesame seeds.
