Steak & onion sandwich

Ingredients
2 pieces of steak
2 tsp salt
1.5 tsp pepper
1 onion
1 tbs butter
1 avocado
1 cup rocket
2 tbs canola oil
1 tsp brown sugar
2-4 buns/rolls
2 tsp mayonnaise

Directions
Season steak: Season steaks with ½ tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper on each side. Let sit at room temperature while you prepare the rest of the ingredients
Onions: Slice 1 onion into thin strips. Add to a pot, with 1 tbs butter, and bring to a medium heat. Continue stirring occasionally, while you prepare the rest of the dish.
Vegetables: Slice 1 avocado into thin strips. Rinse & dry the rocket.
Cook steak: Heat a large pan to high heat and add 2 tbs canola oil. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes per side or until they reach your preferred done-ness. Set aside and let rest.
Finish onions: Add 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp brown sugar and ½ tsp pepper to the onions. MIx well and turn off the heat once the onions are soft & brown.
Assemble: Toast buns, spread mayonnaise on the inside, lay avocado and rocket, and finish with sliced steak & onions.
